Originally founded in 1984 as “Big 5 Gutter Systems”, we’ve spent the past 40+ years building a brand and reputation around quality installs, fair business practices, and standing behind our work.

1984

Founded as “Big 5 Gutter Systems”

Big” Alvin Perzylo opens his first shop after moving to Calgary from Manitoba several years earlier.

Renamed “Big 5 Exteriors”

Big 5 adds vinyl siding and exterior window cladding to its service mix, expanding to cover the building envelope.

2000s

Expanded Into Roofing Services

Growing demand from existing eavestrough customers led Big 5 to add full roofing installation to its service offering.

Added Hardie Board Siding

Big 5 becomes one of Calgary’s go-to installers for James Hardie fibre cement siding, bringing a more durable option to Calgary homeowners tired of weather damage.

Became an Authorized Alu-Rex Installer
